Team sets sail for Global Offshore Wind event in Manchester

9th May 2024

The team is off to Manchester in June for Global Offshore Wind 2024.

The event where industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers come together to shape a “coming of age” sector is back at Manchester Central on 18-19 June.

In attendance on stand D96 over the two days are managing director Wayne Henderson, senior marine consultant Donna Van Damme and finance and admin manager Samantha Duncan.

The theme of this year’s conference is ‘coming of age’ and this definitely chimes with the team at Marex.

Wayne said: “With 25 years of experience and expertise gained in the challenging environment of the North Sea, we found ourselves in the ideal position to expand into renewables, gaining contracts with major operators and growing our presence both throughout the UK and internationally.

“Marex values relationships, and believes in building trust through focusing on people and finding the right solutions. GOW24 is the ideal forum to meet up with the owners and developers behind the UK’s burgeoning wind energy projects, as well as the port authorities and vessel owners and managers involved in making it all happen.”

Topics under discussion at the conference include floating wind, digitalisation as well as sustainable development, and the event allows attendees explore cutting-edge technologies, build strategic partnerships, and discover solutions for critical challenges.

Marex is a member of organiser RenewableUK and has recently joined the fourth cohort of the North-east Fit 4 Offshore Renewables (F4OR) programme.
