The role would suit an experienced human factors professional, ideally with a Masters and chartered status. A self-starter with the ability to apply human factors and engineering principles across the energy sector as well as first class communication skills to build the necessary relationships across the organisation. There is the opportunity to work on scopes of work related to safety case and other risk-associated formal assessments.

Required skills

  • Strong understanding of human factors engineering principles
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to human factors engineering and ergonomics.
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

•          Delivery of the company’s human factors engineering and ergonomics consultancy services.

•          Manage client enquiries and generate project proposals if assigned.

•          Act as Project Manager for contracts as required by the Risk Manager.

•          Participate in company development initiatives as may be required from time to time.

•          If acting as client focal point, liaise with the Risk Manager to ensure continued communication during periods of absence from the office.

•          Carry out the facilitating of human factors and ergonomics studies on behalf of clients, and lead or be part of teams carrying out consultancy activities.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Human Factors engineering. Minimum of 3 years of experience in human factors engineering. Experience working in energy sector is preferred. An existing BOSIET (may fund for right candidate) and be willing to travel both offshore and internationally.
